Paper tape is especially good for those with sensitive or fragile skin, such as the elderly. But no one wants tape yanking at their skin and hair when it is pulled off, so this is a good choice when you need to secure gauze or any bandages to your skin. Nexcare's Gentle Paper Tape is latex-free. I react to a lot of adhesives, but this one was fine. There is minimal tugging of skin and hair when the tape is removed. It tears easily, though you will need to cut the tape if you want a straight edge. The 1-inch width is generous and easy to handle. This tape is "water resistant", but, if you need your bandage to be completely waterproof, this will be insufficient. Also, if you're using it on an area that moves a lot or is rubbed a lot, you may need a tape with stronger adhesive. This tape tends to come up around the edges if something is frequently rubbing against it. But Nexcare's Paper Tape is genuinely gentle and perfect for most situations in which you need to secure a bandage.
