Omg I love this bench! It’s way better than I expected. Also the storage part has more room than I thought which is great. I have a small apartment in NY so I’m always looking for things that have storage. I thought it would be small since it’s not a high bench and it’s just the top part of it, but it fit everything I wanted it to and more. I put a couple games, a couple throw blankets and a few other things and it fits it comfortably with some more room to spare. The whole bench looks neat and very elegant and gives the room a classy look.It came mostly assembled, just needed to screw the top into the bottom and then twist the legs on. getting the top in was a bit annoying since you had to go through the storage compartment and make sure everything lined up, but not too bad and definitely worth it. Didn’t take more than a half hour.My only complaint is that the bottom rack had a couple scrapes on it from packaging/travel. Nothing a little filler can’t fix and it’s not too noticeable.... I made sure to put that on the back side so it can’t even really be seen. But I would recommend better packaging and maybe a little bubble wrap around the end. I like that it does seem like real wood and not that manufactured wood garbage that falls apart over time. This piece seems like it will last and it is really good quality.Really nice bench with storage and a shoe shelf. Sturdy and practical. I love the dark red color. Just last step gets tricky when putting in the final screws. Takes some patience since you don’t have room to make full turns of the Allen wrench.I wish it was a little bit deeper in the storage area. I wish it was regular screws instead of allen wrench. This was a great price for this bench. It fits nicely in my spot. Very sturdy and heavy. I gave it 4 stars because I needed help getting the screws. They are so close to the corners. Other than that, I would buy it again.I'm using this bench as a place to sit and put on/take off/store shoes in my entryway. It is nice and large and looks great in the space. It's also very comfortable and easy to clean, so far.A lot of older reviews talk about how difficult it is to put together and how some pieces are missing, but I didn't have that issue at all. I think that, since those reviews were posted, the seller probably fixed a lot of those issues and started shipping it more put-together.Mine came as just the top section already assembled along with the bottom shelf and the 4 legs to assemble with 8 screws with washers and an Allen wrench to screw them in with.Literally my only complaint is that it was a little annoying to screw in the screws inside the inner compartment to attach the top section to the legs. They're just kind of awkward to screw in with the provided Allen wrench. If you use something longer, maybe with a drill, it'd probably be a lot easier. Now that it just took me a few minutes to do that, it looks awesome. This was easy to put together. The bench is really nice. I thought it was more Red but it's not. Looks good though, a keeper. The added storage area is a big plus!! Nice bottom rack for shoes or whatever tooThese benches worked out very well for us. They added six more seats to our dining configuration by just turning the table sideways and putting the benches under the window. Very sturdy.I ordered this for my small entryway, something to sit on when while putting on/removing shoes. It’s very sturdy and I like the leather and cushion. It’s also quite easy to assemble as you only have to put in 8 screws in total and holes were already drilled ready. The only thing though is I suggest that you start with attaching the legs to the top part/leather storage first, before screwing the legs to the base part/wood. I initially followed the instruction manual that came with it and it said to start with the legs and the wood base but after that, the holes in the legs and top part leather storage don’t align at all and I couldn’t put then together. So I had to unscrew everything and start again from the beginning. This time I did it the other way around; I attached the legs + top part leather storage first, then attached the wood base last. No issues since I can easily pull in the legs to the wood base to screw them securely.I would hesitate gifting this as the wood base can be imperfect in terms of paint and scratches. Mine came in with a bit of unpainted wood on one side but it’s not a big deal since I’m just using it for my entryway and I put that side near the wall so it’s less visible.Overall, good buy and good material. Sturdy enough and serves its purpose. It doesn’t look cheap and marches well with my other entryway furniture (coat rack and hall tree) because of the black colour and look. It's okay. I absolutely love the look of it but it's cheaply made. I think I lucked out more than some other buyers from reviews. In assembling it was a real pain. My husband cursed alot mad at me for being such a cheap quality but he managed to make it work aligning the parts and gave up on the horrible instructions. It will last us maybe a few years but it is sturdy thst I admit just already have chip mark's on the legs. I have dogs and constantly vacuuming probably helped in the chipping already. Love being able to store winter gloves and scarves and masks in these weird times. This is the worst product I ever bought on Amazon. It was hard to assemble it, I needed to torque some parts as they weren't fitting really. It only been 3 months since I bought this bench and the stitches are already ripping off. The fake leather is poorly made, not enough long for the stitches to hold.Product was as advertised but the assembly from the factory is lacking there were screws half way in and some on angles so I had to take them out and fix that and mine had a small rip in the back side I can live with as it’s hidden but over all I give it a 2.5 out of 5Using the Allen Key to tighten the top of the bench to the base is incredibly difficult as there's not enough room to work, specifically for the screws at the back of the bench. I ended up using a star headed screw driver to tighten the front ones, but the lack of room at the back of the bench still caused the same challenges with the screwdriver. I gave up and just left the screws tightened to 3/4 thinking no one would really notice.
